The natural and cultural park was established in Akmenė town pinery in 2002.
A territory of the picturesque pinery on the banks of the river Dabikinė was selected for the park where back in 1958–1960 Akmenė town inhabitants by joint efforts planted thousands of young pines.
Currently, the territory comprises the pinery, the valley of the river Dabikinė, the former sand quarry and the shore of a pond.
There are numerous wooden sculptures and a unique stone stage in the park. Various cultural events are permanently organised there and it is a great place for leisure and recreation.
Aviation festivals and motocross races that take place in the former sand quarry are organised in an aerodrome located near the park.
