Two old oaks that deserve attention grow on the pedestrian boulevard. One is near Šiauliai Trade House. Before the war, this is where an Evangelical Lutheran Church stood. Its construction was completed in 1854. It can be assumed that the oak was planted at that time too. An even older oak, judging by its appearance, grows near Didždvaris Gymnasium. This oak tree could have been planted after the girls’ gymnasium was built.
