In 2012, a group of proactive Šiauliai residents made a small energy labyrinth (maze) from grass on the shore of Lake Talkša. Later, this idea received support of Šiauliai city municipality, the permission was obtained, and the design of stone labyrinth was prepared. Its authors are Edita Steponavičienė and Vitalija Petronytė. The project was implemented within a few months.
On September 3rd, 2013, the opening of the beautiful, impressive, seven-circuit labyrinth of field stones took place. Dr. Suzan Gregg, the Toltek wisdom teacher and the author of books took part in the opening. During her first visit in Lithuania in 2003, she introduced Lithuanians to the history of energy labyrinths and their impact. Since then, Suzan Gregg’s pupils gather in Nida in September every year and lay out two energy labyrinths from pebbles on the seashore.
Today, the coastal area of Lake Talkša is one of the most visited places of Šiauliai residents and city guests. Many different sports, wellness and cultural events take place here.
