Purviai outcrop reminds us of the Ice Age more than 35 thousand years ago. The geologic natural heritage site preserved by the State is one of the few outcrops of Mickūnai third warm-up of the last interglacial in the Baltic States. The site is also unique by its rare outcrop of the Middle Nemunas period, keeping many yet unsolved secrets.
While gazing at the river Venta valley, visitors have a chance to familiarize themselves with the geologic heritage values and also to admire the nature itself. Fresh wind, murmurous water, nature sounds – it is a great place to daydream and to relax.
