Vladas Sirutavičius (born in 1877) owner of the Kairiškii manor in 1903. founded one of the first hydroelectric power plants in Lithuania, which is still operating today.
It is also interesting that at the beginning of the last century in Kairiškiai, not only the water-driven electricity generator, but also the V. Sirutavičius cardboard factory operated, which used the energy produced by the hydroelectric power plant. Between the wars, the factory's production was even exported to England and Scandinavian countries.
