Kamanos swamp stands out for its unique terrain, an abundance of boggy patches and lakelets. As the swamp vegetation has overgrown mineral ridges, only their highest parts remained protruding, forming small islets of Avinas, Liepiai, Trainauskienė, while in other places as many as 12 boggy spots with more than 120 lakelets were formed.
The adornment of the swamp is lakelets Nimfėjai and Salos with very picturesque shores and a 6-hectare Lake Kamanos. The swamp is surrounded by forests on all sides.
A 30 m high lookout tower was built in the centre of the Reserve from the top of which the surrounding landscape may be admired.
INDEPENDENT VISITING OF THE SITE IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED! Visits are only allowed with the Reserve employees.
