Location of service provided

Universally adapted for everyone

Augustinas Rušinas was a pharmacist who received a pharmaceutical education at Moscow University and, after receiving the permission of the Lithuanian Pharmacy Department, founded a pharmacy in Akmenė. His house, which also housed a pharmacy, has been perfectly preserved to this day. In September 2020, next to this house the monument was unveiled. The author of the monument is Antanas Adomaitis. The monument depicts the pharmacist with a case for medications standing next to him, and a leaf of a medicinal herb is placed on his head. This monument was created to honour the memory of the very respectable, intelligent Rušinas family (his wife and two daughters were teachers), who lived and worked in Akmenė during their lifetime.
