The multi-trunk lime tree in Papilė is a unique lime growing in Venta Regional Park, Papilė town.
Age of the multi-trunk lime tree is around 150 years. Before 1982, the lime tree had 16 trunks; currently only 13 trunks remain and 2 have fallen recently. The trunks are 0,3 m thick and around 23 m high. Unfortunately, the lime tree is aging rapidly, the angle of growth of the trunks is increasing with every year and they are leaning more and more to the sides.
The glorious history of the past has been absorbed in the trunks of this lime tree, along with endless human emotions and hugs while trying to embrace all its trunks.
