Three kilometers east of Pasvitinys, near Peleniskiai village, there is a beautiful mound called Pelaniskiai hill. The mound square is rectangular, oblong 50x25 m with steep slopes about 8 m high and overgrown with rarefied deciduous trees and pines. At the foot of this mound there is a10 m wide and 3 m deep ditch, which cuts the lower triangular spire of the hill where the fortress was. The mound was besieged in 1910 after there began to bury the dead. At the foot of an area of 1 ha is a settlement, where rough pottery has been found. The mound dates back to 1st - 13th century.
