In 2018, in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the restoration of Lithuania’s statehood, architect Vytenis Rudokas created an artistic accent to honour the memory of the signatories of the Act of Independence of Lithuania, which was signed on 16 February 1918. In the fence of Šiauliai Julius Janonis Gymnasium (Tilžės St.), four panels of Finnish light grey polished granite have been installed. Signatures of the signatories Mykolas Biržiška, Steponas Kairys, Alfonsas Petrulis and Jonas Vileišis cut from a sheet of aged bronze are incrusted at the top of each plate.
