Mečislovas Ežerskis, who lives in Kelmė, has carved over 3700 sticks. In 2009, the sticks made by Mečislovas Ežerskis were certified and recognized as a product of national heritage. There is no other such stickmaker in Lithuania. According to the stickmaker, every stick is unique, and you will neither make nor find another such stick. The longest stick made by Mečislovas is two meters long; the shortest, fifteen centimetres. Mečislovas Ežerskis has long weaved the idea of setting up a museum of sticks. Not having received the promised help, he did not waste time: he sold his one-room apartment on the fourth floor, bought a small wooden house and moved to it with all the sticks collection, setting up a museum.
