The sculpture “The Strongman Nosys” is built on the platform of the railway station. It is a reduced image (1:10 scale) of the legendary personality of Šiauliai city, described in the book “Strongmen of Lithuania”. In his youth Šiauliai dweller Stasys Nosys distinguished himself by firm body, until in 1926, loading gravel into wagons, he got under the wheels of the wagon that started moving and lost both legs. The guy did not break and continued nurturing his well-muscled body, founded the circus and showed various strength tricks there, although he moved only in his hand-made wheelchair.
