This is an advertisement for a former bridal salon. The author decided to depict two newlywed swallows squatting in a nest that although does not resemble swallows’ nest but has a stained-glass window with a cosy red light glimmering at night. A he-swallow has a heart in his beak, but that heart looks more like a pocket watch dangling on a chain – the article that was available at the Soviet newlyweds’ salon.
Now, the piece of art still stands in the same place and has become the inherited property of the jewellery shop.
