Beekeeper Petras Balnionis has been connected to bees since childhood. He learned this craft from his parents and grandparents. Continuing the beekeeping tradition, in 1985 he established an apiary (passport No 27) in Pakruojis district. Today the entire Balnionis family is engaged in beekeeping: a beekeeper with his wife and three adult daughters.

Currently there are over 90 bee colonies carrying honey from forests and meadows. The bee colonies are constantly monitored and the quality of the honey is being analyzed.

As the apiary develops, other bee products (pollen, pitch, bee bread, wax) and candles are also being collected.
